Dianna Whiting Dexter, age 65, of Daniels Farm Road, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, July 29, 2016, following a six year battle with cancer.

Dianna was born in Barre, VT, on December 5, 1950, daughter to the late Lester and Alberta (Smith) Whiting.  She was raised and educated in Topsham and Bradford VT graduating from Bradford Academy with the Class of 1968.  She married Robert H. Dexter on September 27, 1969. They made their home in Waterford 33 years ago and she was employed at Weidmann for 28 years until 2013.  She enjoyed travelling with Bob across the US, including Alaska, Europe and a trip through the Panama Canal. Dianna enjoyed taking care of her huge flower garden and loved taking care of her granddaughter who was the light of her life.

She is survived by beloved husband of over 47 years, Bob Dexter of Waterford, her son: Paul Dexter of Yuma, AZ, her daughter, Kari Dexter (Joe Mooney) of Danville, her granddaughter Kaylen Oviedo, sister Brenda ( Leon ) Darling of Groton VT. her brothers: Larry ( Joan ) Whiting of West Topsham VT., Bruce Whiting (Carrie) of FL. as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins of which she was very fond.

Friends may call on the family from  6-8PM Friday evening, August 5, 2016, at the  Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer Street in St. Johnsbury.

Services to celebrate Dianna’s life will be held at the Funeral Home at 11AM on Saturday, August 6th with burial to follow at the Lower Waterford Cemetery on Lower Waterford Road. Rev Candace Ricker will officiate.
