Obituary: Diana Griffith Prokocimer

            Lyndonville, VT: Our Dear mother, Diana Griffith, age 76, passed in her sleep at the Pines Nursing Home, Sunday morning, August 6, 2023.

            Diana was born in Barre, VT, on September 5, 1946.    She was raised and educated in Lyndonville, graduating from Lyndon Institute in the Class of 1964. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a lifelong  member of the community in Lyndonville, VT.

Diana worked for 36 years with Verizon, formally known as New England Telephone, and was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was very dedicated to her pets and was a member and Tester for Therapy Dogs of Vermont, as well as a member of the Crossroads Kennel Club.

Diana is survived by her sons Stacy Griffith (Kimberly) and their 4 children of Anchorage, AK, and Troy Griffith (Mary) and their son of Virginia Beach, VA, her sister: Lynette Carter (Clifton) of Lyndonville.

She was predeceased by her mother and father, Marjorie Winona (Derusha) and Maurice E. Stewart and her infant daughter Darcy Griffith, also her sister: Sheila Baker and her brother: Dale Stewart.

            Graveside Services will be held at 12noon on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the St. Elizabeth Cemetery on Hill Street in Lyndonville, VT, with Deacon Tom Lovett officiating.

            Memorial donations may be made in Diana’s name to your local Humane Society.
