Darren B. DeGreenia, 49, of Lyndon, died at his home Wednesday morning April 15, 2015 with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born June 21, 1965 in Newport, VT the son of Lyle and Goldin (Taylor) DeGreenia. He graduated from Medomak High School in Waldoboro, ME and later he received his Associates Degree in building and engineering.
Darren was a talented mason who loved working with stone for more than thirty years. He ran his own business, The Brick Works in Union Maine for many years. After moving back to Vermont in 2012 he worked for Bean's Manufactured Homes of Lyndonville. Puttering on his home, his automobiles, spending time with his family, following NASCAR racing, attending local mud bogs and riding his Harley, brought him much pleasure.
Survivors include his wife Gail DeGreenia of Lyndon; three sons, Derrick DeGreenia of Belgrade, ME, Danny DeGreenia of Falmouth, ME and Justin DeGreenia of Augusta, ME; two step-daughters, Marcia Knight of Iowa and Elizabeth Knight of North Carolina; five grandchildren; three brothers, Terry DeGreenia of Brownington, and Walter and Darrel DeGreenia both of Union, ME; two sisters, Cathy Burns of Florida and Carol Linscott of Union, ME; two very special friends, Justin and Bradley; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by his parents.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at his home located on the Red Village Road in Lyndon on Saturday May 02, 2015 from 2:00 - 4:00pm.
