Daniel Moran

Daniel Lawrence Moran, 83, formerly of Grand Street in New York, NY, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation after a long period of failing health.

Daniel was born in New York City on March 19, 1934, to Daniel James and Mary Ruth (Lawrence) Moran.  He was raised and educated in New York and lived there all his life until coming to St. Johnsbury Health and Rehab in January to be closer to his sister. He served with the Marines from 1954-1957 earning a Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

Daniel is survived by his sister: Mary Ann McKeon and her husband, Joseph, of St. Johnsbury, VT; a niece: Elizabeth Dymek and husband, Edward; 3 nephews: James McKeon and wife, Dawn, Stephen McKeon and wife, Cheryl, and Patrick McKeon and partner, George Sales.

He was predeceased by a sister: Una C. Moran in 2009; and a niece: Barbara McKeon in 2008.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Randolph, VT in the spring.
