Constance E. Stetson

St. Johnsbury, VT: Constance E. Stetson, age 76, formerly of Hardwick, died at the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT, on January 11, 2023.

Connie was born in Bedford, IN, on December 12, 1946, daughter to the late Kenneth J and Maxine (Flaharty) Meadows.  She married Donald E. Stetson on March 26, 1982, and shared 39 years together at the time of his death on March 26, 2021.  Constance worked as a clerk at Kinney Drug in the Torrington area and in Hardwick, VT where she resided for over 20 years. She loved animals, especially her dogs and had adopted several over the years.  A year ago she moved to the New Avenue Apartments in St. J and made some dear friends who helped her immensely, Julie, Linda, Tugi and Phyllis.  Connie loved to visit and be with people, and this was a great place for her to be.

She is survived by her son Arnold Burclaff, Jr. and his wife, Benitta, of Barton, VT, 2 daughters: Cynthia Bogie and husband, John, of Barnet, VT, Linette Stetson and her partner, Robert Newland, of McIndoe Falls, VT and 14 grandchildren.

Connie was predeceased also by her 2 stepdaughters: Nioka Stetson in 2020 and Melinda Lane in 2022.

There will be no calling hours. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Enosburg.
