Christy Marie Ashby

Gilman, VT: Christy Marie Ashby, age 35, of Baptist Hill Road, passed from an apparent heart attack early Sunday morning, August 20, 2023, in St. Johnsbury, VT.

Christy was born in Lancaster, NH, on  October 14, 1987, daughter to Susan Marie (Spencer) and the late Paul Robert Ashby. She grew up in Gilman and graduated in 2005 from Concord High School. Christy loved animals and would bring home strays of all kinds.  She worked at the Copper Pig Brewery in Lancaster the past 4 years, enjoyed visiting with family and friends and loved being a new parent after adopting Aryian this past year.

She is survived by her mother: Susan M. Ashby of Gilman,, VT, Christy’s partner: Cietarya Jones and their son, Airhyan Ashby, of St. Johnsbury,  her maternal grandfather: Richard I Spencer of E. Concord, VT, her 3 siblings: Catie, William and Nathan Ashby all of the Jefferson, NH area, her uncle: Richard E. Spencer of E. Concord and her cousins: Daniel, Courtney and Jacob Spencer.

She was pre-deceased by her father: Paul.

There will be no Calling Hours  or services at this time.

Memorial donations may be made in Christy’s name to an Animal Rescue of one’s choice.
