Cheryl Ann Murphy, 78, of Vail Drive in Lyndonville, VT passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at her home. Cheryl was born in Wenatchee, WA on April 3, 1946, to Merrill and Hazel (Travers) Tallent.

Cheryl enjoyed the Patriots, a lifelong dedicated fan. She also was a huge Elvis fan. Cheryl created the nonprofit DBSA of Nevada which helps people with bipolar and depression. She also started PTA in Peabody, MA schools and a Title 1 class in her home. She would have celebrated 42 years of sobriety. 

Cheryl liked to help others. She loved her family and friends, many of those in lifelong friendships. Big Bear was her favorite place to be. Cheryl led an extraordinary life.

Survivors include her children: Danette Bashaw and husband David Blouin of Lyndonville, VT, Greg Marshall and wife Helen Whitaker of Granite City, IL, Reneé Marshall Stratton and husband Bill Stratton of Clearwater, FL, and Shaine Marshall and partner Tiffany Quy of Cypress, TX; 8 grandchildren: Shauna Murphy, Derek Marshall and wife Taylor, Christopher Swanstrom, Cassandra Bashaw, Cody Bashaw, Kellan Marshall, Arielle Marshall, and Colton Marshall; 16 great-grandchildren: Sean Murphy, Ryan Murphy, Aurora Marshall, Jasmine Forthun, Esmarie Forthun, Rylee Marshall, Aiden Bashaw, London Donaghy, Benjamin Barnett, Alexander Donaghy, Larainah Barnett, Pheonix, Bradly, and Deshawn Torres, and Jayden and Tyler Swanstrom. 

She was predeceased by her husband: Raymond Murphy; granddaughter: Brandy Lynn Marshall, and her parents: Merrill Tallent and Hazel Travers.

There will be no services at this time. Guibord-Pearsons & Sayles Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
