Charles William Murray, age 42, of Gaskell Hill Road, West Burke, passed away at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.
Charles was born in St. Johnsbury on March 29, 1974, son of the Robert and Edith (Mitchell) Murray. He was raised in West Burke attending Lyndon Institute for 3 years and graduating from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1992. He attended Western State College in Gunnison, CO, followed by Castelton State College, and then University of New England in Portland, ME obtaining a Masters degree. He married to Bridget Erickson in October 1997. Charles worked as an anesthetist at DHMC for 3 years and most recently had been at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT for 2 years.
Charles enjoyed spending time with family and being outdoors. He loved played Lacrosse with his daughter, Mackenzie, and riding motocross and snowcross with his son, Jackson. He just really liked to be out in the woods.
He is survived by his mother: Edith Murray of West Burke; his wife: Bridget Murray of West Burke; a son: Jackson Murray of West Burke; a daughter: Mackenzie Murray of West Burke; a sister: Kelly Murray-Liberty and husband, Thomas, of Lyndonville, VT; 2 nephews: Stephen McNally and son Trenton, and Nicholas Malshuk; and a niece: Madison Murray.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert Murray, in December 2011.
Friends may call on the family from 10am to 12pm on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Guibord Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Lyndonville, VT. A funeral service officiated by Rev. John Sleeper will follow immediately at 12 noon at the funeral home.
