St. Johnsbury, VT: Charles H. Aldrich, age 83, of Parks Rd, died peacefully at his home Thursday, March 6, 2025, after a recent decline.

Charlie was born in South Paris, ME, on New Year’s Day 1942, son to the late Homer and Gladys (Starbird) Aldrich. He grew up in Maine and graduated from Paris High with the Class of 1961. He worked for American Sterilizer Company servicing equipment in health facilities throughout Vermont and New England. He married Carol nee’ Additon on August 23, 1969, and have shared 55 years together. They have lived in St. Johnsbury since 1970. Charlie loved the outdoors from hunting & fishing to beekeeping and maple sugaring. He was a member of the Lions Club, The Moose Lodge and the Masons and the Single Action Shooting Society. His latest hobby was his sawmill which he really enjoyed, but nothing compared to spending time with his family and friends and his baby girl “Gracie Dog”

He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol, of St. Johnsbury, 6 children: Jeff Aldrich (Cathy) of Lyndonville, VT, Lisa Robinson (Russell) of Passumpsic, VT, Debbie St. George (Phil) of St. Johnsbury, Donna Villeneuve (Thomas) of Waterford, VT, Jody Sylvain (Raymond) of St. Johnsbury, Steven Aldrich (Rose) of Lyndonville, his brother: Stephen Aldrich (Joyce) of Roxbury, ME, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents: Homer Aldrich and Gladys & Andrew Mellor, 3 sisters: Joyce, Mary, Martha and his granddaughter: Kaitlyn.

There will be no calling hours at this time. A Celebration of life will take place at a later date.
