Charleen G. Briggs

Lyndonville, VT: Charleen G. Briggs, age 69, of the Darling Inn,  died unexpectedly at her home in Lyndonville, March 9, 2024.

Charleen was born in Savannah, GA, on June 11, 1954, daughter to the late Charles Henry and Frances (Anderson) Hilton.   She was raised and educated there and moved to the area in 1980 where she remained to be a proud Vermonter. She was a homemaker throughout her life raising 4 daughters that she loved unconditionally.   Carleen enjoyed country & western music and the oldies, arts & crafts and coloring and going to the Riverside Life Enrichment Center.  It was her favorite place to spend time with friends.

She is survived by her daughter: Christina Hendon of Flat Rock, NC, Vera Briggs-Langmaid of Lyndonville, Mary Briggs also of Lyndonville, Laura Briggs of Keene, NH, her brother: David Hilton of GA, 14 grandchildren: Shawn Hendon, Christopher Hendon, Curtis Briggs, Adrian Langmaid, Hailey Gilmore, Damian Gilmore, Timothy Hamel, Alexis Hamel, David Hamel, Latisha Briggs, Tanisha Hook, Shakira Warner, Ryder Larrabee, Antoine Jamal Briggs and a great-granddaughter: Kiera Moody.  She was predeceased by 2 sisters: Carol and Cathy.

Friends may call on the family from 5-7PM on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Guibord-Pearsons  Funeral Home, 15 Main Street in Lyndonville.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the Lyndon Center Cemetery.
