St. Johnsbury, VT: Cecelia Ann Lucas, age 71, of Elm Street, died at the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital Thursday morning, March 7, 2019.
Cecelia was born in Bangor, Maine, on May 1, 1947, daughter to the late Dorothy (Ferguson) and Walter Humphrey. She was raised in a military household; living anywhere her father was stationed. Her later teen years were along the Virginia coastal area. She worked in the admissions office at Thomas Nelson Community College in Newport News where she also took classes. Cecelia worked additionally at times as a bartender and as a model. She was very social but mainly enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids. She loved watching Family Feud, murder mystery shows and was a Baltimore Ravens fan; she also was an avid reader and loved doing crosswords. She always had good advice and knew all the right things to say.
She is survived by her son Christopher S. Kraft (Autumn Banville) of St. Johnsbury, 3 grandchildren: Isaac Kraft, Makayla Lyon and Joseph Schoonmaker; nieces: Nicole Adams, Cecelia Humphrey and Kathleen Humphrey; and nephew: Randall Humphrey.
Cecelia was predeceased by her brother: Walter Humphrey, Jr., and a son: Patrick Michael Lucas.
A Graveside Service will be held at 9am on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the St. Johnsbury Center Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours at this time.
