Brenda Simpson

It is with great sadness that we announce that Brenda Carol Simpson, age 74, passed away on September 21, 2015 at her residence in Dunnellon, FL.
Brenda was born in Morrisville, VT, graduated from Lyndon Institute and lived in the Northeast Kingdom for over 60 years.
Brenda leaves behind her loving husband of 28 years, Steven Simpson; and was a loving mother to Jeffrey and Lana Simpson (Barton, VT), Jane Newland (Lyndon Center, VT), James and Lori Simpson (Sutton, VT), a loving step mother to Cindy Myhre (Middlebury, VT) and Bryce Simpson (Ft. Lauderdale, FL); she was a cherished grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 11. She also leaves behind loving siblings including Charlotte Blodgett (Waterford, VT), Marilyn and Ronnie Clifford (Lyndonville, VT) and Shawna Wilkerson (Lyndonville, VT). Other loving family members include sister-in-law Donna Bailey (St. Johnsbury, VT), Priscilla and Ron Paquette (Colchester, VT), Nancy and Gordon Vincent; brother-in-law Donald and Susan Simpson and many nieces and nephews. Brenda also loved so many cherished friends who remained so supportive during her illness. Brenda was predeceased by husband Bernard Simpson in 1986.
Brenda had a passion for cooking for family and let's not forget Brenda's baked beans were everyone's favorite. She was always very active as she enjoyed snowmobiling, horseback and motorcycle riding, camping and attending bluegrass festivals. She was a true sports fan who loved watching golf and the cooking channel. She also loved to watch her grandchildren participate in sporting events.
Friends and family will gather at 1 PM Saturday, October 3, 2015, at the United Methodist Church, on Church Street in Lyndonville, VT, with graveside service following at the Sutton Village Cemetery with Barbara Dwyer officiating.
