Barbara Ann Peck

Barbara Ann Peck, age 69, of St. Johnsbury, VT passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at her daughter’s home in Concord, VT.

Barbara was born in Milford, CT on December 18, 1953, to John Peck and Claudette Leduc. She graduated from Essex High School, Class of 1971 and then attended Lyndon State College receiving a Bachelor’s degree in business. Barbara worked as an Office Administrator at Cornerstone School for several years prior to retiring.

In her high school years, Barbara was a record holding track star. She loved to attend and support her loved ones in their sporting events (Go, Hilltoppers!). Barbara had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. You could always tell which balcony was hers by the beautiful flowers lining the rail. She was an animal lover and her children always remember having cats around the house. Barbara loved listening and singing to music. She knew every word to every favorite song. She had a great sense of humor and was the life of the party! Above all, Barbara loved her family and friends and always put her family first. She was an incredible mother, grandmother, and friend.

Survivors include her two daughters: Allison Peck of Exton, PA and Heather Settergren and husband Kurtis of Concord, VT; two brothers: Stephen Peck of Long Island, NY and Gregory Peck and wife Stephanie of Saint Carlos, CA; her step-mother: Susan Cater Peck of Essex, VT; five grandchildren: Kevin Freeman, Ava, Izabelle, and Alexander Holycross, and Emilia Young; a niece: Kristin Peck Smith; and nephew: Kenneth Peck. And of course, her beloved 16 year old cat Jewel.

She was predeceased by her mother: Claudette Leduc; her father: John Peck; and a brother: William Peck. As well as her orange kitty of 19 years, Pumpkin.
