Lyndon, VT: Arlene Lillian Miller, age 88, of Kingdom Road, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday evening, November 9, 2017, at the Pines Health & Rehabilitation Center in Lyndon, VT, where she had resided since February.
Arlene was born in Peacham, VT, on December 15, 1928, daughter to the late William Ernest and Gladys Ann (Farnham) Nunn. She was raised on the family farm and went to school in Peacham. She and Arthur Henry Miller made their home in North Danville where she was a homemaker and a farmer. They were together 58 years until his passing in 2007. She enjoyed working on the farm and working with Arthur. In 1972 they moved to McIndoe Falls. This is when Arthur began working for North Country Farms delivering eggs, and for the next 19 years, Arlene was his constant companion. They did everything together, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. She enjoyed gardening, had a houseful of plants and loved watching things grow, including her flower beds. Her family came first and was the most important thing in her life, especially her grand and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her 4 children: Herbert A. Miller, Sr. and his companion, Becky Goss, of Burke, Gwendolyn L. Douse of Cabot, Elaine M. Noyes and husband, Bradley, of Concord, VT, Leslie G. Miller-Brown and husband, Steve, of Lyndon, a brother: Arnold Nunn of Peacham, 2 sisters: Burnice Adams of Barnet, Blanche Ross of Morrisville, 5 grandchildren: Herbert A. Miller, Jr. and wife, Melynda, Louis Douse, Jessica Hagan and husband, John, Jr., Andrew Miller-Brown and wife, Angela, and William Miller-Brown, 7 great-grandchildren: Dylan, Lilyan & Logan Miller, Brett & Josslyn Hagan, Arthur & Anna Miller-Brown and several nieces and nephews.
