Anna Marguerite Filby, 643 McReynolds Road, North Danville, passed away December 10, 2016 after a short bout with cancer.
She was born May 3, 1930 in Rumford, Maine to Gustave and Stella (Glover) Turbide. She had 11 brothers and sisters in a large family.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence (Larry) Filby. They were married on October 29, 1977 and had awonderful life for 39 years. Also leaving behind her daughter, Jacqueline Cote of Rumford, Maine, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and three surviving sisters and a brother. She was predeceased by a son, Ivan Wing of Rumford, ME.
Ann was a loving, generous “people person”, who loved animals and little children. She was a hard worker all of her life, and loved to work. She lived and worked in Hartford, CT for many years, for Royal Typewriter, and other companies. She had a long career in manufacturing and assembly jobs, including Arrow-Hart in Lewiston, ME and Burndy Corporation in St. Johnsbury and other area locations.
