Albert Bedor of Wheelock passed away peacefully at home on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2015, at the age of 84.
He was born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, on Oct. 12, 1931, the son of the late Joseph and Evelina (Crepeault) Bedor.
On May 4, 1950, Albert married Alberta Drown. In their 50 years of marriage, they had nine children together. Albert worked for the Town of St. Johnsbury for 11 years and at True Temper for 10 years. He was a farmer, logger, and mowed lawns for people all over. Albert was also a butcher for many years, going to people's houses. Albert was a hard worker and made sure his family was well taken care of. Albert was a story teller; the grandchildren loved to hear his stories! He will be sadly missed.
Survivors include his friend Yvette; six kids: Nancy LaCoss and husband Brian, Sue Choquette and friend Mike, Cathy MacPherson, David Bedor and wife Stefney, Janet Simpson, and Patty Hunter and husband Cary; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and their families.
He was also predeceased by three sons: Steve, Russell, and an infant son Paul; granddaughter Heather; three brothers and three sisters.
Visiting hours will be held at the Guibord Funeral Home in Lyndonville this Tuesday evening, Dec. 29, from 6-8 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Johnsbury this Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 10 a.m. at the St. John the Evangelist Church.
