Adam Joseph Hale, 44, of West Burke, VT died on Friday, March 15, 2024, at his residence having lost his battle with addiction.
Adam was born in St. Johnsbury, VT on December 25, 1979, to Nancy (Dumas) Cohen and John M. Hale. He was raised in St. Johnsbury and attended St. Johnsbury Academy and then graduated from Lyndon Institute.
Adam had most recently been employed by St. Johnsbury GMC as an automotive detailer. Prior to that he worked for TJ Maxx and the State of Vermont Parks Department. He ran his very own successful online retail sales business. He was creative and enjoyed playing music and writing. Family was most important to him, especially time spent with his daughters. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and humor.
Adam touched many lives. Survivors include his mother: Nancy Cohen and husband Michael of West Burke; his father: John Hale of St. Johnsbury; two daughters: Aliah and Malie Hale and their mother, Julie Gist of Concord, VT; a paternal grandmother: Jeanne Hale; maternal grandmother: Joyce Dumas; a brother: Curtis Hale and wife, Nadia of Danville, VT; stepbrother: Forest Cohen of Cambridge, VT; and stepsister: Mae-Lily Romaguera and husband Alex of Chatham, NJ.
Adam also leaves behind many friends in the recovery community.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 2-4PM at The Kingdom Recovery Center (Dr. Bob’s House) 297 Summer Street, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819.
